US Marine SSgt Steven Michael Logan, born December of 1978, in Delaware.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Steven grew up in Honey Brook, Pennsylvania and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He deployed to the Middle East in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, earning the rank of Staff Sergeant.<\/p>\n

SSgt Logan had personally been reenlisted by the Secretary of the Navy, Gordon R. England, at the peak of Mount Suribachi above Iwo Jima in 2004. At the time of his reenlistment, the intelligence clerk in the 3rd Materiel Readiness Battalion said, \u201cThe experience was definitely a chance of a lifetime and a great feeling\u2026Not many Marines or Sailors can say they were re-enlisted on top of Mount Suribachi by the Secretary of the Navy. Also, knowing who and what I was representing at such a level was a good feeling in itself. It was definitely an honor to be in that position.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

SSgt Steven Michael Logan lost his battle with PTS, February 28, 2005. He was 26 years old.<\/p>\n
