He had loyally served his country since 2002, fought in both Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. He was awarded the Purple Heart in 2006 after being severely wounded by an IED blast.<\/p>\n<p>SSgt William Thomas Edwards III lost his battle with PTS, November 28, 2014.
