Airbone Army Veteran Anthony Joseph Homnick, born June 23, 1983, in Brooklyn, New York. He was the beloved son of Priscilla Homnick.<\/p>\n
Anthony was a 2002 graduate of Berwick High School. In 2003, he joined the United States Army, 82nd Airborne Division, stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia, where he graduated BCT.<\/p>\n
In 2005, he deployed to Iraq in support of the Global War on Terrorism. Upon returning, he was stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, where he did three tours, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the other in Afghanistan, retiring in 2013.<\/p>\n
He loved in-line skating as a teenager, he also loved drawing, fishing and lifting weights. Most of all, he loved his family and living life to the fullest. He was also known for his glorious beard, of which he was very proud. He was a kind and gentle soul, who would do anything for anyone and never ask for anything in return.<\/p>\n
Anthony is survived by his wife of three years, Jamie (Brown) Homnick; his three dogs: Zee, Brody and Nola; his mother’s finance, Charles Markle; stepfather of 15 years, Jose Rivera; sister, Sara (Homnick) Lutz, and her husband, Michael, and their daughter, Amara, who is Anthony’s goddaughter; three brothers: David Rivera, companion, Lily Deleon, and their son, David Jr.; Jonathan Rivera, and companion, Adrianna Keck, and their daughter Emilia; Steven Homnick, companion Shana Drasher and their children: Evan, Emmorsin and Ian; two aunts: Joni Cruz and Denise Homnick-Shaban; an uncle, John Homnick; cousins: Pedro Lopez and his daughter Elliona; Theresa Lopez and her daughter Tameka; Michael Lopez and his son Miguel, all of Berwick; cousins: John, Aziza and Dylan Homnick, all of Brooklyn, New York; and cousin Samia Shaban, and her daughter Malak, of Queens, New York.<\/p>\n
Anthony was preceded in death by his grandparents: John and Barbara Homnick, and his uncle, Raul Cruz, all of Berwick.<\/p>\n
Anthony Joseph Homnick lost his battle with PTS, February 22, 2015. He was 31 years old.<\/p>\n
