Army Sergeant Steven B Knudson, of Bottineau, North Dakota, beloved son, brother, grandson, hero and friend.<\/p>\n

He was the beloved son of Brad Knudson and Karen (Light) Knudson, born on November 23, 1982 in Bottineau, ND. He was reared and attended school in Bottineau for a time. Steven then moved with his mother to Surrey. He returned to Bottineau in 1996 where he graduated in 2002 from Bottineau High School.<\/p>\n

On July 03, 2002 he entered the United States Army where he served for 8 years with three (3) – fifteen (15) month tours in Iraq. He was honorably discharged on February 12, 2010. He received three (3) Commendation Medal for each deployment; one (1) Commendation Medal with Valor.<\/p>\n

He enjoyed snowboarding and traveled to many resorts from east to west. Steven also enjoyed hunting, playing guitar, listening to music, traveling and skiing.<\/p>\n

Those left to cherish his memory, his parents, Brad and Margo Knudson of Bottineau and Karen Knudson of Bismarck; a brother, Justin and Shelley Knudson of Willow City; sisters, Miranda and Aaron Schuler of Minot and Carla and Jordan Smith of Mandan; step-siblings, Kori, Isaac and Ben; grandparents, Allen and Susan Knudson and Mel and Bev Hamnes all of Bottineau.<\/p>\n

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Carol Light.<\/p>\n

SGT Steven B Knudson lost his battle with PTS on November 28, 2010. He was 28 years old.<\/p>\n
