He deployed to Afghanistan in 2011-2012 in support of the Global War on Terror.<\/p>\n<p>Those left to cherish his memory, his wife, Spencer; parents Michael and Peggy; siblings, Joshua (Caroline) and Meagan (Michael) Guertin; and grandmother, Sandra Jane Anthony. He is predeceased by grandparents; Thomas Anthony, and Earl (Joyce) Thrower.<\/p>\n<p>Michael &#8220;Mikey&#8221; Thrower lost his battle with PTS on March 5, 2017.
