heated,<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0THCA and CBDA decarboxylate to THC and CBD, which have different properties. \u00a0Heat can also destroy valuable terpenoids that have been proven to work synergistically with cannabinoids. \u00a0With juice, all of these compounds are preserved.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. William Courtney in California has pioneered the field of juiced cannabis. \u00a0His experience, along with his wife Kristen, was detailed in the 2011 mini-documentary\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=qa0nLdVJiIg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em><strong>Leaf<\/strong><\/em><\/a>. \u00a0Since the age of 16, Kristen battled rheumatoid arthritis and lupus, which resulted in her being bedridden for four years. \u00a0Doctors said she wouldn\u2019t make it to 30 and would never have children. \u00a0Aware learning of Dr. Courtney\u2019s work, Kristen began juicing cannabis, which led to her relatively quick recovery. \u00a0She now has three children with Dr. Courtney, and when juicing displays virtually no symptoms of her previously debilitating diseases.<\/p>\n<p>In a popular\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/2012\/12\/01\/cannabis-for-infants-brai_n_2224898.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Huffington Post article,<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0Dr. Courtney discussed the dramatic reduction of an infant\u2019s brain tumor with only high-CBD cannabis oil. \u00a0In an accompanying video, Dr. Courtney further discusses a cancer patient (likely the brain cancer patient Amber from the\u00a0<i>Leaf\u00a0<\/i>documentary) who was sent home to die, and then eliminated the tumors solely with juiced cannabis leaves.<\/p>\n<p>Besides Dr. Courtney, there has been relatively little material on juicing. \u00a0A new book by Katie Marsh aims to raise awareness about juicing and encourage further documentation of experiences. \u00a0<i>Juicing Cannabis for Healing<\/i>\u00a0details her remarkable journey into the world of juicing. \u00a0After suffering from severe rheumatoid arthritis for five years, Katie looked into cannabis juicing as a means of naturally healing.<\/p>\n<p>The book is incredibly comprehensive. \u00a0It discusses Katie\u2019s struggles to find a proper source of cannabis leaves, problems which can arise in a juicing regimen, optimization tips, and scientific discussion. \u00a0Throughout the text, the atmosphere surrounding the juicing world is effectively conveyed, especially the need for more research and experiential evidence. \u00a0Some other testimonials are included, but Katie openly encourages individuals to send their experiences, as the book is constantly evolving and hopes to become a definitive resource on cannabis juicing.<\/p>\n<p>Overall,\u00a0<i>Juicing Cannabis for Healing<\/i>\u00a0is a truly informative, valuable, and interesting book. \u00a0It reads very smoothly and is a
