Benjamin P. Calvin,\u00a025, of Marine, Illinios, passed away on Monday, October 2, 2017 at his residence. Ben was born on March 18, 1992 in Clayton, Missouri.<\/div>\n
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Kathryn Esterlein; and his paternal grandfather, Paul Calvin.Ben is survived by his parents, Scott and Sarah (Esterlein) Calvin in Marine, IL; siblings, Brandon Calvin and Amanda Calvin, both of Collinsville, IL; maternal grandfather, Ray Esterlein of Collinsville, IL; paternal grandmother, Jerilyn Calvin-Howard of Maryville, IL; his extended family of Brooke Vesci, Trevor Dodds, and Kyle Weinmann; one nephew, Leo Dodds and one niece, Ally Calvin, both of Collinsville; many aunts, uncles, cousins, dear friends and his adored pets, Dingo, Benny, Trixy, Frieda, and Lucy.<\/p>\n

Ben was a 2010 graduate of Metro East Lutheran High School. Following graduation, he enlisted with the\u00a0Army<\/a>\u00a0and was trained as an Intelligence Analyst. He served in that capacity on both active duty, in the Army Reserves, and with his civilian employer; BAE Systems. Above all, Ben was a devout Christian and patriot who loved his country dearly.<\/p>\n
