Retired Oakdale Police Chief Marty West, of Fresno, California passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018.<\/p>\n

Marty\u00a0was born on August 29, 1955.\u00a0He graduated from Bullard High School and received his Bachelors and Masters degrees at Fresno State University.<\/p>\n

West started as a police cadet at the Fresno department when he was 19 and worked his way up to captain. He\u00a0had a thirty year career with the Fresno Police Department and also served as police chief in nearby Oakdale, until his retirement.<\/p>\n

Friends, loved ones, colleagues and anyone impacted by Marty’s life are invited to join family on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. for a large Celebration of Life at Cross City Church in Fresno, California.<\/p>\n
