Jordan Charles Bordelon, 22

Air Force Senior Airman Jordan Charles Bordelon, a native and resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, beloved son of Jonny and Jacqualine Fa-Kouri Bordelon.

A graduate of Our Lady of Mercy Elementary School, Jordan attended and graduated from St. Michael the Archangel High School. During his four years at SMHS, Jordan, also referred to as “Jtrain” by his teammates, played a number of sports including cross country, soccer and track for which he received the Warrior Tradition award.

Upon graduation, Jordan entered in the United States Air Force in which he served a tour of duty in Iraq and and another in Afghanistan and was assigned to the 823d Base Defense Squadron, part of the 93d Air Ground Operations Wing, at Moody Air Force Base. Affectionately known on the base as “Radio”.

His service awards include the NATO medal, Air Force Training Ribbon, Air Force Expeditionary Service Ribbon with Gold Border, Air Force Overseas Ribbon Short tour, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, Meritorious Unit Award and the Air Force Medal Achievement Medal.

Jordan was known for his wonderful sense of humor, his outgoing personality, and his extraordinarily fit physical condition. “The 93d Air Ground Operations Wing and Moody family are deeply saddened by the loss of one of our own,” said Col. Samuel Milam, 93d Air Ground Operations Wing commander.

SrA Jordan Charles Bordelon lost his battle with PTSD, October 27, 2012, in Valdosta, Georgia. He was 22 years old.
