Retired Oakdale Police Chief Marty West, of Fresno, California passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018.
Marty was born on August 29, 1955. He graduated from Bullard High School and received his Bachelors and Masters degrees at Fresno State University.
West started as a police cadet at the Fresno department when he was 19 and worked his way up to captain. He had a thirty year career with the Fresno Police Department and also served as police chief in nearby Oakdale, until his retirement.
Friends, loved ones, colleagues and anyone impacted by Marty’s life are invited to join family on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. for a large Celebration of Life at Cross City Church in Fresno, California.
