Patrick Louis Tubbs, 19

Army Private First Class Patrick Louis Tubbs of Shreveport, Louisiana, a beloved son, dear brother, cherished grandson, hero and friend.

Patrick graduated from Huntington High School and immediately joined the U.S. Army and received training at Fort Benning, GA, before moving on to his first post at Fort Riley, KS. There he was a 19K M1A2 Abrams Tank Crewmember.

Patrick was an energetic artist, musician, and gamer. He was very passionate about nature and wildlife, especially dogs and reptiles.

Patrick was survived by his mother Ambre Tubbs Lomas; father, Carlos Lomas; brother, Dalton Broussard; Memaw, Tina Pardue and Granny Patsy Tubbs;  Best Friends, Nick Mominee and James Calhoun and the one that never left his side Luna, his dog. As well as many other family and friends. His immense personality, beautiful spirit and friendly smile and laugh will be sorely missed by many.

PFC Patrick Tubbs died by suicide on October 28, 2014 after being prescribed benzodiazepines and Zoloft by the Veterans Health Administration. He was only 19 years old.
