Army Sergeant Matthew Brian Prestridge, of Wauchula, Florida, beloved son of Sheila Stewart and Mark Birch.
Matthew was a 2006 graduate from Fort Pierce Westwood High School and enlisted in the Army National Guard at the young age of 17. He attained the rank of Sergeant.
He loved to fish and play Xbox360. He worked at Hardee Correctional Facility before and after his deployment to Afghanistan.
Loved ones left behind to cherish his memory, parents, Sheila Stewart and Mark Birch; siblings, Christopher Stewart and Alyssa Stewart; maternal grandparents, Carl and Lois Prestridge; paternal grandparents, Stanley and Nancy Birch.
SGT Matthew Brian Prestridge lost his battle with PTS on June 12, 2010. He was 21 years old.
