Sophie Champoux, 25

Army Sergeant Sophie Champoux of Clermont, Florida, a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, hero and friend.

Sophie was born July 5, 1986 in Orlando, Florida to Suzette Champoux and Denis Champoux. She was a former Clermont resident and former member of Clermont Bible Church.

Surviving is her mother Suzette Champoux of Clermont; father Denis Champoux, Centennial, CO; brothers Ian Champoux, Orlando and Noah Champoux, Winter Park; paternal grandparents Paul & Celine Champoux, Dover, FL.

SGT Champoux served as a Combat Medic with the US Army during Operation Enduring Freedom, Afghanistan. Sophie had a huge heart and was in love with the Afghani children.

Sergeant Sophie Champoux left this life on September 30, 2011. She was 25 years old.
