Reclassify Cannabis
- Description
- Customer Reviews (0)
Cannabis has been classified by the federal government as a Schedule I drug since President Richard Nixon kicked off the modern War on Drugs back in 1971. Schedule I means that substances have a high potential for abuse and no accepted medical uses. Both cocaine and methamphetamine are officially considered safer, under federal law, than is cannabis.
Medical Cannabis, now legal in 29 states, is a safer alternative to many current treatments legally available to all veterans. Cannabis has been used safely and effectively for medicinal purposes for over 2,000 years. Modern scientific research exists and supports the use of Medical Cannabis for PTS and opiate addiction. Cannabis has many other healing properties including treating anxiety, sleep, depression, TBI, pain, etc… Rescheduling Cannabis means not only being able to legally prescribe but to further research the benefits of cannabinoids which are a naturally occurring throughout our bodies.
