Marine Corporal Casey Keenan Carlisle of Caldwell, Idaho, a loving father, son, brother, grandson, hero and friend.
Following high school, Casey joined the United States Marine Corps attaining the rank of Corporal. He was a proud Marine who loved his country and the Corps.
Over the last few years, he fought hard against the symptoms of depression while battling demons of post traumatic-stress. Sadly, in the end, it was too much.
Cpl Casey K Carlisle lost his battle with PTS on September 16, 2018. He was 26 years old.
“He was a great Marine, father and son. He will be dearly missed.” ~ Don Carlisle
Since his death, Casey’s family has made it their mission to spread awareness of the growing epidemic of suicide among our military forces, and start a fundraiser to help those struggling with depression get the counseling or therapy they otherwise could not afford.
We feel your pain!! Our family lost my grandson on April 14, 2018. He lost his battle with depression too. Nathaniel was in the Navy after he was 18. He would have been 23 in September. We miss him something terrible and look forward to seeing him in heaven one day.
RIP Soldier
