Marine Lance Corporal Evan Burnett born on August 17, 1990 in Monroe, Louisiana, the beloved son of Kathleen; beloved brother of Dustin and Jamie.
He was a 2009 graduate of Franklin Parish High School, where he was an ROTC member. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in January 2015 and graduated from basic training in Parris Island, SC. He was stationed at Camp LeJeune and was a Data Network Specialist.
He is survived by his mother Kathleen Burnett of Fort Necessity; brother and sister-in-law Dustin and Lorna Duhon and their children Connor and Adrian all of Baton Rouge; sister and brother-in-law Jamie and Caleb Smith of Rayville; grandmother Irma Cater of Winnsboro; a host of other relatives and many friends.
Lance Cpl Evan Burnett lost his battle with PTS on January 23, 2017. He was 26 years old.
