Army Specialist Jacob William Sexton, born December of 1987, in Muncie, beloved son of Jeffery and Barbara Dull Sexton. He was a graduate of Monroe Central High School.
Following graduation, he joined the Indiana National Guard through the Winchester Unit. He was deployed to Iraq for one year, serving as a Humvee driver. When he returned from Iraq, he worked at Camp Atterbury to train other Humvee drivers and kept charge of weapons and ammunition.
He had recently deployed with Company A, 2nd Battalion, 151st Infantry, Hammond, of the Indiana National Guard to serve in Afghanistan. He has faithfully and honorably served his country beside his fellow servicemen and women.
SPC Jacob William Sexton lost his battle with PTSD, October 12, 2009, while on leave from active deployment in Afghanistan. He was 21 years old.
