Army Sergeant Jayme Owen Pohovey, born January of 1982, of Brewster, Ohio, beloved son of Donald Pohovey and Glenda Collins; beloved brother of Jessica Baker; beloved husband of Svetlana; beloved father of Dylan, Selene and Natalia.

He grew up in Brewster, Ohio and attended Fairless local schools.

Jayme proudly served his country in the United States Army for twelve years. He served two tours of duty in Afghanistan as a combat medic saving many lives. He earned the rank of Sergeant.

He was the recipient of numerous awards and medals including the Army Commendation Medal with V Device and the Bronze Star, which he earned in combat on his first tour in Afghanistan in 2007. Sergeant Pohovey was a decorated hero who was once featured on the cover of Solider of Fortune magazine for his acts of heroism while serving in Afghanistan.

SGT Jayme Owen Pohovey lost his battle with PTS, September 14, 2014. He was 32 years old.
