Air Force Technical Sergeant Lissy Mayer, born January 23, 1976, in Corona, New York. Beloved wife of Jason A. Mayer; beloved daughter of Manuel Valdez and Teresa R. Moises; beloved sister of Sally Valdez-Schubert (Eric) of Marietta and Juan Manuel Valdez (Laura) of Orlando, Florida.
Lissy was of the Catholic faith. She proudly served our country as a Tech Sergeant in the United States Air Force Reserve having deployed several times, including to Afghanistan. Lissy was also currently enrolled at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and enjoyed volunteering with CASA for Children.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband of three years, Jason A. Mayer of Byron; parents, Manuel Valdez of Dominican Republic and Teresa R. Moises of Miami, Florida; siblings, Sally Valdez-Schubert (Eric) of Marietta and Juan Manuel Valdez (Laura) of Orlando, Florida; and many adoring nieces and nephews, Alexander, Megan and Samantha Schubert, and Sean, Troy and Lawrence Valdez.
TSGT Lissy Mayer lost her battle with PTS, October 26, 2014. She was 38 years old.
