Officer Michael Edward Reid of McDonough, Georgia. He was born in Mobile, Alabama to Judith Ann Middleton Reid and the late John Edward Reid. Mike graduated from Satsuma High School, Class of 1989. He worked for the Henry County Police Department for 18 years and was a parishioner of Abiding Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hampton. Mike was active in the Boy Scouts and enjoyed camping with his son. He loved spending time with his family at the beach, traveling, watching TV and was an avid Alabama Roll Tide fan.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 19 years, Becky Reid; son, Josh Reid; daughter, Kristian Reid of Mobile, AL; grandchildren, Jerome Cooper, Jr. and Sunny Cooper; mother, Judy Reid of Satsuma, AL; sisters, Debbie (Joe) Ching of Semmes, AL and Michelle Reid of Satsuma, AL; brother in law and sister in law, Mary and Larry Atkinson of Eatonton; niece, Lindsey Atkinson; cousin, Jonathan Harrison of New Orleans.
Officer Mike E Reid lost his battle on March 24, 2017. He was 45 years old.
