Marine Corporal Nathan D Mahler, born August 13, 1989,  of Las Vegas, Nevada.

He served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps with two tours in Iraq in support of the Global War on Terrorism. He was highly decorated for his service, attaining the rank of corporal.

Nathan also had a tremendous circle of friends. He could light up the room with his smile and kind heart. He passed on his amazing heart during organ donation and his excellent physical condition allowed him to help 50 other people through his donation. Unfortunately, in the end, he suffered from PTSD and was unable to bear the past memories of what he had encountered.

Nathan is survived by his father, Danny; stepmother, Jessica; brother, Matthew; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins; and beloved grandmother, Alta Mahler.
