Army Specialist Robert Joseph Allen died in Olympia, Washington, on August 2, 2012. He was stationed at Joint Base Fort Lewis-McChord, Washington.
Robbie was born January of 1985, in Dade City, Florida. He attended St. Anthony’s School, San Antonio, FL., and graduated from Pasco High School, Dade City, FL. He enjoyed sports and played Dixie Youth Baseball followed by high school soccer, football and weight lifting. At age 15 he was chosen as a delegate to the International Catholic Youth Conference in Rome. He also played drums in a Christian Rock band and was a certified refrigeration mechanic. Upon entering the Army he was deployed to Iraq and served in the 4th Stryker Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division.
SPC Robert Joseph Allen left this life on August 2, 2012. He was 27 years old.

I miss you every day buddy. My little ones are old enough now to ask about my tattoo. And I tell them about their Uncle Robbie, who was in the army with daddy, and was daddy’s best friend, and they run their fingers across the tattoo of your name and they touch the crossed rifles above it. It hurts that they’ll never get to know you and will probably never get to run around and play with your kids again.
