SGT Alex M Garvin, US Army

Alex Mitchell Garvin lost his battle with depression & PTSD on Wednesday, June 3, 2015.

Mr. Garvin was retired from the United States Army having served one tour in Iraq & one tour in Afghanistan.

He was preceded in death by his brother, SPC Nathaniel Douglas “Tater” Garvin; and one uncle, Edward David Stiltz.

Survivors include:

Three children, Lexi Hope, Adrianna Marie, & LeeAnna Mechelle all of Campbellsville, KY; his parents, Clif & Melanie Garvin of Elizabethtown, KY; two brothers, Timothy James “TJ” Garvin of Elizabethtown, KY, Jeremy Allen Garvin of Elizabethtown, KY; one sister, Whitney Denea Garvin-Clark; two nieces, three nephews; maternal grandparents, Larry F. & Edna Stiltz of Illinois; paternal grandparents, Edison & Andrea Garvin of Illinois; and a host of family & friends.
