Arizona National Guardsman and former Marine Sergeant Christopher Palmer, of Tucson, Arizona.

Palmer enlisted in the Marines right out of high school and later worked for the Mohave County Sheriff’s Department. He would later enlist in the Marine Reserves serving two tours in Iraq before serving with the Arizona Army National Guard in Tucson.

This story is shared by Sgt Palmer’s ex-wife, Gina Manson, she is speaking out because she wants people to understand why he died by suicide. Manson says, “He’s not a criminal. He’s not a bad person. He’s a veteran. He was a soldier crying out for help.”

Sergeant Christopher Palmer lost his battle with PTS, July 26, 2011, at his home in Tucson, Arizona. He was 38 years old.
