US Marine David Andrew Green, born December of 1980, in Glen Dale, West Virginia, beloved son of Greg and Karen Green; beloved brother of Greg and Lorrie; and uncle to three nieces.
David was raised in Benwood, West Virginia, and was a 1999 graduate of Bishop Donahue High School, where he played football, baseball and wrestled.
He was employed at CSX Railroad, where he was a conductor; a Catholic by faith; a member of the American Legion Post # 46 of Benwood; a member of the Grim Reapers; member of the Benwood Volunteer Fire Department and their Search and Rescue Team; a private contractor in Iraq for two years; worked as an EMT( Emergency room Tech.) at OVMC; and was a U.S Marine, Operation Enduring Freedom Veteran.
He loved his two dogs, Harley and Dyna, was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, loved motorcycles, hunting and spending time with his three nieces.
David Andrew Green lost his battle with PTS, October 19, 2013, in Benwood, West Virginia. He was 32 years old.
This young man would do anything, and i do mean anything to make you laugh or smile in the most difficult of times. He was the kind of guy you could call on in a moments notice and he would be there to help. I considered him a family member and miss him dearly. There was never a dull moment when he was around. Lets celebrate his life and contrbutions to his family, friends, community and country. Thanks for a few of the most memorable experiences in my life. You are and always will be a legend.
