Army Sergeant Eric William Landon, born in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Eric served in the United States Army. Eric is preceded in death by his mother, Billie Jo Wolf. He is survived by his loving wife, Rachel Landon and their two daughters, Amiyah and Dahlia, ages 3 and 1; his father, Darrell Landon and his wife, Cindi; his loving grandmother, Lynda Landon; his grandfather, Guy Landon and his wife, Renee; his brothers, Mark Wolf and Patrick White; his sister, Stephanie White; and a long list of family members and friends.
SGT Landon was immensely proud of the nation he served. He enlisted in 2005 and served for ten years which included tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan. His dedication, leadership, and courage earned him numerous awards, including the Combat Infantryman’s Badge, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Star, and the Iraq Campaign Medal with Star.
Eric will be remembered for his love of humanity, his playful and joyous nature, and his devotion to his family, his friends, his supervisors, and his peers. Eric touched each of us deeply, leaving his imprint of love and light in our hearts. Sleep with angels; father, husband, son, brother, and friend. A funeral service will take place at 10 am Wednesday, Aug. 5, at Loyless Funeral Home. Interment will be held at 1:30 pm, following service, at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
SGT Eric William Landon lost his battle with PTS on July 30, 2015. He was 27 years old.
