US Marine Lance Corporal James G. Alvarez, III was born in Ft. Lauderdale in April 1983. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2006 and proudly served his country. He deployed to Iraq in 2007. He was a member of the American Pool Player Association and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa Alvarez; children, Madison Anne Alvarez and Tyler James Alvarez; parents, James (Jay G. Jr.) and Renee Alvarez; sister and brother-in-law, Leslie and Tony McDonald; nieces and nephew, Jordan Thompson, Amanda Thompson and Kylie McDonald; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Albert and Eileen McDonald; sisters-in-law, Kim and Steven Shepherd, Christine McDonald and Jason Ferrentino; aunt and uncle, Jim and Cindy Gallagher; cousins, Brendan and Sean.
LCpl James G Alvarez III lost his battle with PTS, March 20, 2013. He was 29 years old.
