Army Private Second Class Johnathan Dale Darden of Shreveport, Louisiana. He was born August 17, 1983, the beloved son of Carla Barber and Rickey Oden.
Johnathan joined the United States Army and deployed to Iraq in support of the Global War on Terror. He served five years in the US Army, attaining the rank of private second class.
Those left behind to cherish his memory, his mother, Carla Barber; his brothers, Robert (Dez) Darden and Chad Darden (fiancé Wanda, and children); grandmother, Betty (Bennie) Jones; uncles, Tony, Todd and Ken; aunts, Christy, Sheila, Lou Ann and Tammy; numerous relatives and friends.
He was processed in death by his father, Rickey Oden; grandparents, grandma and grandpa Cates; aunts, Nita and Robbie; and his uncle Steve Isbell.
Johnathan loved helping people and giving back to those in need. A very talented balloon artist, remembered as a funny guy with a heart of gold. He will forever be loved and missed by all that knew him.
PV2 Jonathan Dale Darden lost his battle with PTS on May 13, 2017. He was 33 years old.
