Army Sergeant Jordan Taylor Johnson, born June 14, 1988, in Garland, Texas. He attended Lakeview Centennial High School and was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church.
Jordan served honorably in the United States Army for four years as a combat engineer. He served two combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan in support of the Global War on Terror. He attained the rank of sergeant.
Those left behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Hollie; son, Korbin; mother, Joni Johnson Yates; father, Zak Johnson and wife, Lisa; step-father, Clint Yates; siblings, Wesley, Natalie and Amanda; Grandparents, Tim Hammond and wife, Tina, Peggy Havens, Richard and Dorothy Johnson, Charles and Margaret Yates; father and mother-in-law, Brad and Rosie Rigsby; sister-in-law, April Rigsby; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
SGT Jordan Taylor Johnson lost his battle with PTSD, January 17, 2013. He was 24 years old.
