Joshua A McArdle, 29

Joshua A McArdle, 29

US Marine Corporal Joshua A McArdle, born in Quincy, Massachusetts, beloved son of Alexander Greeson and Kimberly McArdle.

Joshua was a 2002 graduate of T.C. Roberson High School. He served in the US Marine Corps from 2004 to 2008. He deployed to Iraq in 2006 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, earning the rank of Corporal.

Cpl Joshua A McArdle lost his battle with PTSD, May 11, 2013, in Asheville, North Carolina. He was 29 years old.

From his sister, Hannah:

While I know already that my brother, Joshua A. McArdle is one of FAR too many that have succumbed to PTSD, to see the pictures of all those like him is incredibly overwhelming and tragic. My heart breaks everyday with the loss of my brother. Sending my love and compassion to all the families of these fallen men and women. Let’s continue fighting for those that fought for us. Joshua succumbed to his PTSD the morning of May 11, 2013. On June 22nd, my family held the first annual VeteRAN Jam, in Asheville, NC; a 5K benefit and festival to promote PTSD awareness in honor of Joshua and all those that have fallen to this ‘invisible’ wound. Together we can make a difference.

  1. I am so sorry for your loss . I lost my Joshua. 4 years ago. My hope is that all this internet/facebook activity Wil lead to better care connections for our vets. It’s so wrong that so many are dying from military neglect. Wishing & praying for your peace & hope for the future.

Sorry for your loss after the time I was in the army I know how hard this is and the VA has not been much help. They are getting better is nothing to ease your loss. As a TCR grad class of 1979 I wish you well and there no words I can render for your loss.
