Army Sergeant First Class Todd A Patterson, born January 15, 1968, in Altoona. Beloved son of Pearl E. (Gardner) Patterson and the late Ray L. Patterson.
Todd was a 1985 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School and a graduate of Penn State University, and he had formerly attended Williamsport Area Community College. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, serving during Desert Storm. He was currently serving as a sergeant first class with the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, including two tours of duty in Iraq and one tour in Afghanistan. He was employed as a field service engineer at HDT Global, Solomon, Ohio.
Todd was a member of Logan’s Valley Baptist Church, Bellwood. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and going on motorcycle runs. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed camping and was an amateur inventor. He was a rock collector with a collection from all over the world. He was an active supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project and the Spc. Chad A. Edmundson Memorial Dice Run.
Surviving are his mother of Bellwood; a brother, Mark A. (Ginger) of Bellwood; a sister, Beth A. DeArmitt of Bellwood; four nephews and a niece: Eric, Adam and Cory DeArmitt and Tobias and Sidney Patterson; great-nieces and great-nephews; and his canine companion and friend, Skye.
SFC Todd A Patterson lost his battle with PTS, January 12, 2015, in Bellwood, Pennsylvania. He was 46 years old.
