US Marine Lance Corporal Justin Lee Dillingham, born August 4, 1987, in Peoria, Illinois, beloved son of David and Terri Robinson Dillingham.
Justin attended Limestone High School. He was a floor installer with William Dillingham Flooring, a subcontractor with Lowes.
Justin served in the United States Marine Corps from 2008 to 2012. He served one tour in Afghanistan, where he was awarded a Certificate of Commendation and a letter of appreciation.
His other awards include Good Conduct, National Defense, Afghanistan Deployment with Bronze Star, Global War on Terrorism, Sea Service Deployment and the NATO Isas Ribbon.
Justin loved his family unconditionally. He was a loyal friend and a brother to his fellow Marines until the end.
Justin was an avid Viking and Bulls fan, loved fishing, playing darts, playing Madden and spending time with his new nephew. His beautiful smile will be missed forever. He touched so many lives.
He is survived by his father, David of West Peoria; his mother, Terri Robinson-Dillingham of Peoria; one sister, Sarah Dillingham of Peoria; one nephew, Jordan of Peoria; grandparents, James and Kae Robinson and Jo Ann and Tommy Green, both of Peoria; and several aunts and uncles.
Justin is preceded in death by his grandfather, Russell Lee Dillingham; and his good friend, Jesse Hyde.
LCpl Justin Lee Dillingham lost his battle with PTS on August 17, 2013. He was 26 years old.
