Cameron Matthew Anestis, 21

US Marine Lance Corporal Cameron Matthew Anestis, born in Manchester, New Hampshire, beloved son of Emmanuel John and Dawn Sidway Anestis of Lexington; beloved husband of Tiffany Elaine Anestis; beloved father of Isabelle; beloved brother of Kalyn, Evan and Christian.

Cameron attended The Citadel Military College of South Carolina and served in the Iraq War for eight months in support of the Global War on Terrorism.

On August 16, 2009, Anestis, a Lance Corporal in the Marine Reserves, went to a Lexington VA medical center seeking help and was turned away after being told treatment was not available there. Anestis went to a second VA center in Lexington the following day only to be turned away, again, because he did not have the form showing he was a combat veteran.

LCpl Cameron Matthew Anestis lost his battle with PTS, August 17, 2009, at his home in Georgetown, Kentucky. He was 21 years old.
