US Marine Corporal Marrkeyth “Jason” Stewart, born in Los Angeles, California, he lived most of his life in Jennings, Louisiana.
He was a 2006 graduate of Jennings High School.
Cpl Stewart served honorably in the United States Marine Corps. He deployed to Afghanistan in support of the Global War on Terrorism. He attained the rank of corporal.
He was employed by Schlumberger, Inc., since 2011.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his mother, Renee J. Hawkins of Spring, Texas; his father, Linell Stewart Sr. of Willis, Texas; one sister, Jeanette Soulaire of Jennings; five brothers, 1st Lt. Robert Stewart of Ft. Campbell, Ky., Derek Hawkins and Linell Stewart Jr. both of Spring, Texas, and Lazerre and Jermaine Stewart, both of Los Angeles, Calif.; seven aunts, Dawnell Hawkins, Yvette Chavis, Caressa Hawkins, Velma Owens, Thelma Hampton, Earnestine Drake and Amanda (Amos) Holmes; seven uncles, Thadeus (Valarie) Hawkins, Wendell Hawkins, A.B. (Berda) Stewert Jr., Jessie (Perla Mae) Stewart, Frank (Kate) Stewart, Lee (Gene) Stewart and Bobby (Maree) Stewart; five nieces, Nicole, Alexis, JaShanna, Radanae and Kynli; two nephews, Jayrick and Keegan; his godchild, Dakavia McDowell; his special cousins, Travis and Kavaian McDowell of Jennings; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
Cpl Marrkeyth “Jason” Stewart lost his battle with PTS on May 16, 2015. He was 27 years old.
