Ronald William Lewis, USMC

Ronald William “Ron” Lewis of Pooler, Georgia, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, hero and friend.

The Bulloch County native graduated from E.C.H.S. in 1990. He served in the United States Marine Corps, United States Army, and Army National Guard having served in Operation Iraqi Freedom. He enjoyed bass fishing, coaching football, baseball, and softball.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Lewis.

Survivors include his wife, Jocelyn Bayles Lewis; children, Kayla Soucy (Aaron), Braxton Lewis (Hannah), Summer, and Ronnie Lewis; his mother, Virginia Lewis; grandchildren, Kaelynn Soucy, Adam Soucy, and Trevor Rowe; brother, Frank Lewis (Paula); sister, Heather Gonsalves (Joseph); his mother-in-law, Ruthanne Bayles; 4 nieces; 5 nephews; and numerous other relatives.

Ron Lewis passed away on April 13, 2019. He was 47 years old.

He now rests peacefully at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville.
