Shawn J Childress, 24 – LCpl Janos V Lutz Live To Tell Foundation

Sgt Shawn J Childress, 24, went to be with the Lord January 1, 2020.

He is survived by his son, Easton Childress and Easton’s mother, Jessica Childress; his mother, Vanessa Pellien (James); his father, William Childress; sister, Lisa Jefferson (Joenathan Jefferson); brother, Justin Childress; in-laws, Sophie and Jonathan Brown; sister-in-law, Sara Snead (Brandon, and their three children); and extended family and friends.

Born and raised in Richmond, after high school, Shawn became an active-duty U.S. Marine and served three deployments overseas. He was currently based out of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

The family will receive friends 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Bliley’s-Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Rd., where a funeral ceremony will be held 10 a.m., Monday, January 6. Interment, Sunset Memorial Park.
