Walter Alexis Padilla, 28

Sergeant Walter Alexis Padilla, an Iraqi War veteran, he served his country honorably for nine years in the United States Army.

Walter was born on December 27, 1978, and passed away suddenly on April 1st, 2007.  A loving son, brother, father and boyfriend, he had an infectious smile, a wicked sense of humor and loved to make others laugh. His loss is keenly felt by everyone who knew him. He leaves behind his parents, Walter Padilla and Carmen Sierra, both of Puerto Rico; his siblings, Yania and Walter of Connecticut; his son, Dylan and girlfriend, Mia; his niece, Alixa and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins to cherish his memory.

SGT Walter Padilla lost his battle on April 1, 2007. He was 28 years old.

A memorial service was held April 15th, 2007 at La Foret Retreat Center in Black Forest, Colorado.
