Army Specialist Armando Aguilar, Jr. was born April of 1984 in Bay City, Texas, beloved son of Armando Aguilar, Sr. & Amelia Galvan Aguilar. He graduated in 2003 from Parkview Baptist in Houston.

SPC Armando Aguilar Jr. joined the military in October 2007 as a combat engineer and was assigned to 87th Sapper Company, 8th Engineer Battalion, 36th Engineer Brigade, since February 2008.

SPC Armando Aguilar, Jr. deployed to Iraq from April 2008 to July 2009.

Armando Aguilar Jr’s awards and decorations include the Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal with one bronze star device, Iraqi Campaign Medal with combat service star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Combat Action Badge and Driver and Mechanic Badge with Driver-Wheeled Vehicles.

SPC Armando Aguilar, Jr. lost his battle with PTSD, August 21, 2010. He was 26 years old.
