Thomas J Sweet II, 23

Army Sergeant Thomas J Sweet II, born October of 1980, in Bismarck, North Dakota, beloved son of Tom and Liz Sweet; beloved brother of Michael (deceased), Laure and Susanne.

Thomas graduated from Bismarck High School in January 1999. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and received his basic training at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. He was stationed at Ft. Riley, Kansas, prior to his deployment to Iraq and assigned to the 1st Battalion, 5th Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, where he served from September 8 until his death, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

SGT Thomas J Sweet II lost his battle with PTS, November 27, 2003, in Junction City, Iraq, while serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was 23 years old.
