SSG Armando Delgado Hernandez
Army Staff Sergeant Armando Delgado Hernandez of El Paso, formerly of Lamesa, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, hero and friend.
Armando passed away on Monday, April 29, 2019 in El Paso, Texas. He was born on May 18, 1978 in Lexington, Nebraska. Armando married Mary Rose Lauro on October 31, 2013 in the Philippines.
Armando served in the U.S. Army, earning the rank of E6 Staff Sergeant, Airborne and made it his career until his retirement. He was a combatives instructor. He enjoyed working and fixing old cars, racing his classic 1979 Pontiac Trans Am and loved spending time with his family and pitbulls.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jesus Hernandez; and his father, Raul Delgado.
Those left to cherish his memory, his wife, Mary Rose Lauro Hernandez of El Paso, Texas; his mother, Rosa Delgado, his grandmother, Aurora Hernandez, and his sister, Zelda R. Aguirre, all of Lamesa, Texas; his son, Franklin Robbins of Simi, California; and numerous relatives and friends.
SSG Armando Delgado Hernandez was laid to rest in Dawson County Cemetery on May 4, 2019. He was 40 years old.
