Marine Staff Sergeant Jeffery Reber of La Mirada, California, beloved son, husband, father, brother, hero and friend.
Jeffery joined the United States Marine Corps when he was 18 years old. He told me it was something he didn’t have to do. It was something he needed to do. He we wanted to serve and make a difference. He is my first born son, 2nd child. His Dad died when he was 13 and he said it was his job to take care of his family. He did that by carrying a 3.8 GPA in school and staying out of trouble. Even though his little brother was 7 years younger he always included him in activities with friends. He married his high school sweetheart and they have 2 boys, Jeffery and Grayson. He served 2 tours in Iraq, 1 in Afghanistan and his last in Yemen. While in Yemen he is credited with saving 2 fellow Marines from dying by suicide. He loved his family, friends, being a Marine and his country. He was 29 when he died.
Loved ones left behind to honor his memory, his mother, Debra Reber; his wife, Alyssa Reber; two sons, Jeffery Reber and Grayson Reber; his sister, Sara Bastedo and his brother, Christopher Reber.
Loved by many, missed by all. Rest easy, Marine.
