Army Specialist Ricardo ‘Ricky’ Acosta of Tampa, Florida, a beloved son, loving brother, hero and friend.
He was born March 19, 1987, the only beloved son of Lynn Hughes and loved big brother of three amazing sisters. Growing up in the Florida Keys, Ricky loved the ocean and deep sea fishing adventures.
Following graduation of boot camp, Ricky received training in Fort Benning, Georgia, 82nd Airborne Division. He would serve two tours in Iraq with the United States Army in support of the global war on terror. He attained the rank of specialist.
Ricky is deeply loved and missed by his family and friends.
SPC Ricky Acosta lost his battle on March 3, 2016. He was 28 years old.
