Army Sergeant Michael Shane Soignier, born September 4, 1983, in West Monroe, Louisiana, beloved son Michael and Priscilla Soignier.
Shane’s faith in God was strong and began at an early age while attending St. Paschal’s Catholic School. He was in the last graduating class before the school closed. In 2001, he graduated from Ruston High School.
His greatest joys in life were those happy times spent with his family and serving his country. He loved spending time at Paw & Maw’s farm chasing cattle and especially learning to drive tractors, which led to his passion of being a heavy equipment operator in the military and throughout his career.
SGT Soignier served in the Army National Guard with the 884th EN CO. He deployed to Iraq in 2010 in support of the Global War on Terrorism.
His beautiful blue eyes and sweet smile will be in our hearts forever and dearly missed.
